Baby update

On Monday, we had a visit with a geneticist. He indicated that due to the fact that the radial bone in missing in each forearm indicates that this is probably not an orthopaedic issue. This condition is indicative of many different possible genetic or chromosomal abnormalities (most too long to pronounce or even remember). I won't go into detail as there are too many outcomes and diagnoses for this condition.

Cher and I have decided to have an Amniocentesis done to determine if there are any chromosomal abnormalities or non-genetic diseases. Basically the dr will withdraw a small sample of amniotic fluid and send it off for testing. The risk to the baby and to Cher is very minimal and the results should help us understand why we are having these type of issues each time Cher has been pregnant. This will be done in early January.

Please continue to pray for complete healing for our little Garrett. We have faith that God will replace those bones, and heal any sort of disease that Garrett may have.

Thanks again for all your prayers and kind thoughts.

Dear Tom and Cher:

I have been praying for you and little Garrett. Thank you for continuing to share your journey. Your faith is amazing. Our Lord is a loving father, and He will bring healing. Good luck with the amniocentesis. Knowledge is power and it will be good to know in which direction you are heading.

Aloha Ke Akua,
Debbie
