It's a BOY!!

We had our follow-up level 2 ultrasound today and got a good report. The cystic hygroma is still there, but has decreased slightly, and there is no fluid in the belly, around the heart, or around the organs! There are no hydrops as were in our last baby. The Dr. indicated that he didn't think there was any further reason to believe that there was a chromosomal abnormality. In other words, we don't have to worry about Downs, Turners, or some other type of syndrome.

The baby is developing normally, but is missing one of the bones in each forearm. This may cause the hand to curl in a litte, but we'll have to consult with an orthopaedic Dr. about that.

As I said in the title, we were able to confirm that our baby is a boy. His name will be Garrett Thomas Sexton. The due date is May 29th, 2008.

Thanks to all our family and friends that have been praying along with us for a healthy baby. It's been really tough on Cher and me and your support has meant the world to us!!

Here is the first look at our little Garrett.

He was moving around a lot, and made it difficult to get a good look, but we
finally got a picture to confirm the sex.

Love,
Tom and Cher
